Awards ceremony to be held for Colonie police officers | Community Spirit

On Thursday night, the Colonie Police Department will hold their annual Awards Ceremony in the Main Courtroom of the Public Safety Center located at 312 Wolf Road.

The night will consist of awards for officers and civilians and will be highlighted by the presentation of Police Officer, Public Safety Communicator and Explorer of the year.

Special presentations will be held to recognize Sergeant Daniel Belles with the Medal of Valor for heroism under gunfire last July and for Patrolman Donald Wilkins who was killed in the line of duty in 1956. The ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m.
