COLONIE - One year after his diagnosis, 7-year-old Kashius Mostransky is bravely facing cancer, and the community is showing its support with the 'Kick It for Kashius' 5k Run/Walk.
The 5k will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3 at the Crossings in Colonie in an effort to raise awareness around the disease.
“Kashius is an extraordinary young man who has been through a lot in the last year – more than anybody his age should have to go through. This community is so proud to come out and support him and his family,” said Erica Doran, chairperson for the Kick It for Kashius race.
Registration for the race begins at 9 a.m., with the event scheduled to kick off at 10:30 a.m.
