Lopez to serve six years for welfare fraud | Crime

It appears that Angela Lopez of Colonie is headed to state prison for up to six years.

Lopez had appealed her conviction for grand larceny and welfare fraud.

But today, the appellate division of state Supreme Court rejected her argument that her sentence was harsh and excessive.

Lopez collected disability payments and food stamps while she was making money under the table as a home health aide.
