Colonie Youth Baseball receives defibrillators | Health
Three defibrillators have been donated to Colonie Youth Baseball after an 11-year-old Colonie Little League player went into cardiac arrest after a baseball struck him in the chest.
Because of the quick response from coaches, field staff and emergency medical crews the boy went to Albany Medical Center in time and received critical care that saved his life.
Capital Cardiology Associates of Albany, NY made the donation of three Automated Electronic Defibrillators (AED’s) to the North Colonie Youth Baseball Association (NCYBA), one for each of their playing fields.
The AED’s can be adapted for both adult and pediatric use.
